Get up to date with the ANZ App

It’s important to keep your operating system and the ANZ App up to date to ensure that you receive security updates and feature improvements. Here are some quick tips to help you stay up to date.

How to update the ANZ App

Want to experience the latest features in the ANZ App? Ensure you update to the latest version of the ANZ App and your device’s operating system for new features, enhancements and security improvements.

If you’re using an iPhone or iPad, you’ll need to: 

  1.  Open the App Store from the home screen of your device 
  2. In the search field type ANZ App
  3. Tap on ANZ Australia, then tap on the Download icon or Update
  4. Tap on Open
  5. Log in to the ANZ App with your Customer Registration Number (CRN) and password

If you’re an Android user you’ll need to do things a little differently. Here’s how:

  1. Open the Play Store and search for ANZ App
  2. Tap on ANZ Australia, then tap on the Install button
  3. Tap on Open
  4. Tap OK to allow access to phone ID
  5. Tap Allow to make and manage calls. We need both of these to connect you to the right place if you call for support.
  6. Log in to the ANZ App with your Customer Registration Number (CRN) and password – or your App PIN if you’ve previously registered

How to update your operating system

If you’re using an iPhone or iPad, you’ll need to: 

  1. Back up your data and check you have enough memory to update
  2. To update go to your device’s Settings, tap on General, then tap on Software Update
  3. Tap on Install Now
  4. Your device will restart once the update is complete

Don’t forget! The ANZ App is supported on operating system 10.3 and above. It’s important to keep your device up to date so that you can receive improvements from Apple, ANZ and other app developers as well.

If you’re an Android user you’ll need to do things a little differently. Here’s how:

  1. Backup your data and check you have enough memory to update
  2. Go to your device’s Settings, then tap on Software Update
  3. Tap on Download and install, then tap on Install Now
  4. Your device will restart once the update is complete

These steps might vary depending on what type of Android device you’re using.

What if I can’t update?

Currently, you’ll only be able to update the ANZ App if you’re using the Australian version of the App Store or Google Play. Unfortunately, the ANZ App is currently unavailable for customers using the New Zealand version of the App Store or Google Play. We're sorry for the inconvenience. In the meantime, you can still use ANZ Internet Banking on your mobile or computer to take care of your day-to-day banking. It might help if you save a link to ANZ Internet Banking on the home screen of your device. 

If you’re using an iPhone or iPad, you’ll need to: 

  1. Open Safari and visit anz.com. Tap on the Log on button
  2. Tap the share icon at the bottom of the screen, then swipe across until you see Add to Home Screen
  3. Tap that and a quick link will be added to your Home screen so you can log in to ANZ Internet Banking quickly

If you’re an Android user you’ll need to do things a little differently. Here’s how:

  1. Open Chrome and visit anz.com. Tap on the Log on button
  2. Tap the More icon in the top right
  3. Tap Add to Home Screen, then give it a name and tap Add
