ANZ Shield

Our free ANZ Shield app (compatible with Android™ and iPhone®) is an extra optional security measure, providing two-factor authentication to verify your online banking details. The app also gives you access to additional online banking features. Learn more about ANZ Shield

SMS one-time passcode (OTP)

An extra layer of protection for ANZ online banking activities. You may receive an SMS OTP to verify a range of online banking activities. Learn more about SMS OTP.


Two-Factor Authentication

When updating your account profile details on Internet Banking, you may receive an SMS or email notification to verify a range of online banking activities.

Automatic time-outs

If you forget to log out of online banking, we automatically time-out your session.

Quick tips for safe online banking

  • Always log in by typing into your browser’s address bar, not through clicking on any links that you’ve been sent
  • Scan your computer regularly for viruses and spyware
  • Be wary of text messages, phone calls or emails asking for your banking details. ANZ will never message you for this information
