What is a comparison rate?

A rate that helps you work out the true cost of a loan. This rate takes other fees and charges into account, like a loan approval fee and loan administration charge in addition to the interest rate. It’s meant to be a fairer way of comparing how much a loan will cost you.

For more information visit Moneysmart.

What is a home loan top-up?

You may be able to top up your existing variable rate loan, subject to credit approval. So if you're looking to renovate, consolidate debts or buy a new car, you may be able to borrow additional funds against your existing home loan.

What to consider when topping up your loan

Topping up your home loan means you're taking on more debt and may increase your loan repayments. With interest rates on the rise, it is important that you're comfortable with any potential changes to your repayments before increasing your loan.

If you're considering topping up your existing home loan, please contact us.
