With Internet Banking, you can decide how you’d like to receive your account statements – online only or paper and online. You can change your statement preferences any time. Just follow these steps:
Changes to your statement preferences will update in the ANZ App and Internet Banking within 24 hours.
We will start sending you email notifications when a new statement or notice is available for you. This won’t happen immediately - if your statement issue date is within a few days of changing your preference, your next statement might still arrive in the post.
Once your set up, you’ll receive automatic notifications when statements and notices are ready.
No you don't. If you're a registered user of the ANZ App, Internet Banking or Internet Banking for Business, you'll receive online statements in addition to paper for all linked eligible accounts. You can also choose to change your statement preferences and go paperless.

You can view online statements for an account in Internet Banking if you are:
For ANZ Internet Banking for Business, the user must be granted access on the account to be able to view online statements.
If your authority on an account falls under certain categories you will not be eligible to view online statements. For example:

No. Online statements are only available to accounts linked to your ANZ Internet Banking or ANZ Internet Banking for Business.
Online transactions display the most current transactions. This transaction record is not an account statement.
Online statements, on the other hand, are scanned copies of paper statements generated periodically (monthly/bi-monthly/quarterly/half yearly) dependent on the statement end date and other legal requirements.
There is currently no fee associated with replacement statements.
For accounts that are eligible for replacement statements (except credit cards), you can choose to have the replacement statement(s) emailed to a valid email address.
Processed refers to the date the transaction was processed in to your account by ANZ.
Transaction Date refers to date the transaction was carried out by the merchant.
Transactions will only appear after the merchant processes them and forwards the details to ANZ for processing.
When viewing your statements, the last four digits of the ANZ credit card number used will appear under Card used. This will help you identify which card was used for a particular transaction.

If you switch off paper statements, this means that a person who previously received paper statements for an account:
We suggest that before you remove any accounts from the ANZ App or ANZ Internet Banking, ensure you have reset your statement preferences to Paper and online. This way you’ll continue receiving statements by mail.
You will lose access to historical online statements if all accounts linked to the ANZ App or ANZ Internet Banking are closed. Before closing your accounts, we suggest you:

Here are some situations when your statement preferences for an eligible account may be reset back to Paper and online from Online only:
You may also receive a paper statement if there is a problem with your email address. Please double-check that it is correct. You should also ensure your inbox is not full and that it's not rejecting emails from statement@anzcommunications.anz.com.
You should report your lost or stolen credit card immediately by:
Your historical account statements for transactions made using the lost/stolen card will still be available to view online via ANZ Internet Banking.
When your new credit card is issued, ensure you link the new card to ANZ Internet Banking.
Because your original card was lost or stolen, your statement preference for this account may default back to Paper and online.
Remember to update your statement preferences if you prefer to receive statements Online only.
If your account is eligible for online statements and you see the error "This account is not eligible to receive online statements" it’s likely due to one of the following reasons:

As we are in the process of digitising our notices, some notices may not yet be displayed in the ANZ App or ANZ Internet Banking. There are also some notice types that will continue to be provided by mail only. When new notices types are digitised, they will be available to view in the ANZ App or ANZ Internet Banking by following the steps above.

When you choose to receive statements “Online only”, you are nominating not to receive paper statements for that account. Please note, for users of ANZ Internet Banking for Business the option to switch off paper statements is not available.
