Optional Critical Illness Cover is available when you apply for your ANZ Life Insurance policy at an extra cost, with the maximum cover amount available being half of the Life Cover amount selected. Full payment of the Critical Illness Cover is available for eight specified conditions such as cancer, heart attack & stroke, whilst some conditions such as carcinoma in situ, angioplasty & adult type 1 diabetes mellitus, result in a partial payment of the Critical Illness Cover. Some specified conditions such as cancer, stroke, heart attack, coronary artery by-pass surgery, carcinoma in situ, angioplasty, severe endometriosis and adult type 1 diabetes mellitus are subject to a 90 day qualifying period for the benefit to be payable. With Future Insurability you can apply to increase your cover if you have a life event such as getting married or having a baby.
