How we can help

We understand that in times of need you want a fast response. That’s why we’ve created a Disaster Relief Package for personal and business customers affected by natural disasters.

We also understand that each customer will have different needs, which is why we encourage you to review the package below before getting in touch to discuss your support options.

Disaster Relief Package

If you’re a personal or business customer affected by a natural disaster – such as a bushfire, flood, storm or earthquake – we encourage you to get in touch so that we can discuss the support options in our Disaster Relief Package, which we may be able to offer you:

  • Pausing payments for up to three months on home loans, credit cards, personal loans and some business loans (we may still charge you interest during that period)
  • Temporary interest rate reductions on lending for customers experiencing extreme financial distress
  • Waiving fees for restructuring business loans
  • Waiving fees for accessing term deposits early

Also, if you have ANZ Home and Contents Insurance, you may be eligible for emergency funds and temporary accommodation.

Contact your ANZ Relationship Manager

If you’re a personal or business customer and have an ANZ Relationship Manager, please contact them first.

Apply for assistance or call our hotline

Completing our financial assistance form is the quickest way to request support. You can also call our financial hardship team, but be prepared for longer than expected wait times.

Lodge an insurance form

If you have insurance with ANZ and want to lodge a claim, visit insurance claims or call our insurance team.

Visit your local branch

You may wish to speak to someone in person. If it’s safe to do so, feel free to visit your local branch.
