Complimentary insurances for ANZ Platinum and Black credit cards

Complimentary travel insurancedisclaimer
International Travel Insurance can cover you for up to a period of 6 consecutive months, except for cancellation benefits, which will cover you from the date you activate your cover in accordance with the eligibility criteria. This is for a range of contingencies including:
- overseas medical and dental expenses
- cancellation and additional expenses
- loss or damage of luggage and travel documents
- accidental death and permanent disability
- loss of income
- personal liability
International Travel Insurance provided by the group policy issued to ANZ may cover a pre-existing medical condition that you have. Cover is provided for a range of pre-existing medical conditions listed in the policy information booklet together with a number of other benign pre-existing medical conditions that do not require payment of any premium. Whether cover is provided for any of the numerous pre-existing medical conditions not listed in the policy information booklet can be determined by assessment of the specific condition. An administration fee covering the cost of the assessment may be payable. Insurers have different risk criteria which they apply to such conditions. Other than for those pre-existing medical conditions listed in the booklet where you meet the criteria for cover, you will need to apply for confirmation of eligibility for cover before going overseas for any other pre-existing medical conditions you have, each time you travel. If you have any pre-existing medical conditions, please call Allianz Global Assistance on 1300 135 271 to complete a medical assessment and to obtain confirmation whether your pre-existing medical condition is covered for your upcoming journey.

Rental Vehicle Excess in Australia Insurance when you rent a car in Australiadisclaimer
The Rental Vehicle Excess in Australia Insurance may cover you when you hire a car in Australia if the entire payment for the rental vehicle is charged to your ANZ Black or Platinum credit card account. In the event that the rental vehicle is damaged or stolen when in your custody, the Rental Vehicle Excess in Australia Insurance will pay your rental excess over the first $350 up to a maximum of $5,000 or the maximum total limit of up to the amount specified in your rental vehicle agreement; whichever is the lesser provided you are a nominated driver on the rental agreement. Interstate Flight Inconvenience Insurance when you fly within Australiadisclaimer
When you purchase a return interstate flight fare for a trip of up to 14 days on your ANZ Platinum or ANZ Black credit card account, you may be covered by Interstate Flight Inconvenience Insurance. This could protect you against unforeseen events in certain cases including trip cancellation and loss or damage to personal items. Transit Accident Insurancedisclaimer
Transit Accident Insurance could pay a benefit of up to $750,000 in the event of accidental death or up to $375,000 for a listed injury, while you are a passenger in a licensed plane, tourist bus, train or ferry provided you have paid for the full cost of that transportation with your ANZ Platinum or ANZ Black credit card account. Shop with Purchase Protection Insurancedisclaimer
Purchase Protection Insurance could cover you against permanent loss, theft or accidental damage for most personal items you purchase on your ANZ Platinum and ANZ Black credit card account for 90 consecutive days from the date of purchase.
What credit card purchases could you be covered for? Some personal items like: cameras, mobile phones, handbags and stereos.
What types of purchases aren’t you covered for?
- Items purchased for the purpose of resupply/resale
- Animals or plant life
- Computer software or non-tangible purchases
- Cash, trading cards, traveller’s cheques, collectable, gambling or second-hand items
- Consumables, e.g. food or oil
- Vehicles and their accessories - boats, automobiles, motorboats or airplanes
- Real estate and movable fixtures or fittings, e.g. dishwashers, air conditioners
- Articles of contraband
- Manuscripts and books of account
- Secondhand items including works of art and antiques
- Purchased items exceeding $10,000
- Anything over $3500 in jewellery, watches and new works of art
- More than $135,000 over a 12-month period to your account.

Get the welcome reassurance of Extended Warranty Insurancedisclaimer
You could enjoy Extended Warranty Insurance on your personal and household purchases, at no extra cost. This covers items with a manufacturer’s unique identification serial number purchased with your ANZ Black or ANZ Platinum credit card account for up to 12 months after the original manufacturer’s Australian warranty expires.
What the Extended Warranty Insurance could cover you for:
Extended Warranty Insurance could cover some personal items for breakdown or defect, as long as you were using the item for the purpose it was made and the breakdown or defect is covered by the terms of the manufacturer’s warranty valid in Australia.
What the Extended Warranty Insurance doesn’t cover you for:
- Claims made for more money than the product was initially charged for on the credit card (if you paid for your item part by card, part by cash, you’ll only be eligible to get back what you charged on your card)
- Claims made for more than the sum of $10,000 in a 12 month period per participating credit card account
- Claims made for goods which do not have a manufacturer's unique identification serial number.

How does the Guaranteed Pricing Scheme work?
- Make the entire purchase on your ANZ Platinum or ANZ Black credit card account to be eligible
- Find the same product (same model number, year and manufacturer) advertised later in a printed catalogue at a cheaper price within 21 days of purchase
- The store must be within 25km of the store where the item was purchased
- The price difference must be more than $75 – up to a maximum of $300 (E.g. If you bought a camera for $800, the better price you’ve spotted must be less than $725 and more than $500).

Purchase Protection Insurancedisclaimer
Purchase Protection Insurancedisclaimer could cover you against permanent loss, theft or accidental damage for some personal items you purchase on your ANZ First credit card account for 90 consecutive days from the date of purchase. (Purchase price charged to a card account limited to $10,000 per covered item excluding anything over $3,500 in jewellery, watches and new works of art and excluding more than $135,000 over a 12-month period to your card account). It applies to purchases you buy both in Australia and when you’re travelling overseas.

Extended Warranty Insurancedisclaimer
Extended Warranty Insurancedisclaimer could extend the warranty period post the manufacturer’s warranty on purchases that you pay for with your ANZ First credit card account if that purchase meets the eligibility criteria. Cover is provided for some personal items for breakdown or defect, as long as you were using the item for the purpose it was made and the breakdown or defect is covered by the terms of the manufacturer’s warranty valid in Australia.
