You could be eligible for these complimentary insurances when you make eligible purchases on your ANZ Platinum or Black credit card:

Complimentary insurance when you traveldisclaimer(eligibility criteria apply, including using your eligible card to make the purchase)

International Travel Insurancedisclaimer can cover you for up to a period of 6 continuous months, except for cancellation benefits, which will cover you from the date you activate your cover in accordance with the eligibility criteria. This is for a range of contingencies including:

  • overseas emergency medical and dental expenses
  • cancellation and additional expenses
  • loss or damage of luggage and travel documents
  • accidental death and permanent disability
  • loss of income
  • personal liability

A range of pre-existing medical conditions is automatically covered and cover for other pre-existing medical conditions may be available following completion of an assessment of the condition. An administration fee covering the cost of the assessment may be payable. If you have any pre-existing medical conditions, please call Allianz Global Assistance on 1300 135 271 to complete a medical assessment and to obtain confirmation whether your pre-existing medical condition is covered for your upcoming journey.

You can obtain written confirmation of your eligibility for cover for your overseas journey (based on the answers you provide Allianz Global Assistance), by applying online at www.checkyourcover.com.au/anz or by calling Allianz Global Assistance on 1300 135 271, 9am to 5pm AEST, Monday to Friday, except public holidays.

Complimentary insurance covers: AWP Australia Pty Ltd ABN 52 097 227 177 AFSL 245631(trading as Allianz Global Assistance) under a binder from the insurer, Allianz Australia Insurance Limited ABN 15 000 122 850 AFSL 234708 has issued a group policy to Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ) ABN 11 005 357 522 AFSL and Australian credit licence 234527 which allows eligible ANZ account holders and cardholders to claim under the group policy as a third party beneficiary by reason of the statutory operation of Section 48 of the Insurance Contracts Act 1984 (Cth).  The eligibility criteria, terms, conditions, limits and exclusions of the group policy are set out in the ANZ Platinum and Black Credit Card Complimentary Insurance booklet (PDF) which may be amended from time to time.
