Change personal address/contact details

We know it's important to keep your information accurate, which is why we've made it easy for you to update your personal address and contact details online.

ANZ Internet Banking customers can change these details for accounts that are linked to ANZ Internet Banking.

How do I update my personal details?

  • Select the "Profile" icon from the header

Updating your phone numbers

  • Select "Profile & Security"
  • Select "Phone" under "Contact details"
  • Select "Edit" next to the phone number you’d like to change.

If you’re updating your mobile number:

  • Answer your challenge questions
  • Enter your new mobile number
  • Enter your verification code

If you’re updating your home or work number:

  • Answer your challenge questions
  • Enter your new home or work number

If you wish to delete a phone number, please contact general enquiries or visit any ANZ branch.

Updating your email address

  • Select "Profile & Security"
  • Select "Email" under "Contact details"
  • Select "Edit"
  • Enter your verification code
  • Enter your new email address
  • Verify your new email address

Updating your address

Step 1 - Updating your residential address 

  • Select “My Address
  • Under the “Residential address” section:
    • Select your country
    • Select your state (mandatory for Australian addresses)
    • Enter your street address using one or both of the Street Address textboxes
    • Start entering your suburb and if the selected country is Australia, a matching list will appear. Once you’ve selected your suburb, the postcode will display automatically.
  • Post Office Box or locked bag numbers won’t be accepted for residential addresses.

Step 2 - Updating your postal address

  • If your postal address is the same as your residential address, you can skip this step.
  • If your postal address differs, under the “Postal address” section of the "Address" tab:
    • Uncheck the “Same as residential address” checkbox
    • Select your country
    • Select your state (mandatory for Australian addresses)
    • Enter your street address using one or both of the Street Address textboxes.
    • Start entering your suburb and if the selected country is Australia, a matching list will appear. Once you’ve selected your suburb, the postcode will display automatically.

Step 3 - Specify which accounts the address changes apply to

  • Unselect the accounts you don't wish to update
  • The address change will only be applied to accounts that satisfy the following criteria:
    • The account is solely in your name, or
    • You are a signatory on the account and the account requires only one person to authorise transactions.

Step 4 - Submit your address change request

  • Select "Update contact details"
  • Your lodgement receipt will confirm that your request has been lodged for processing
  • Address updates will be completed within two to five bank business days via a SecureMail after which, you’ll receive a SecureMail to confirm we have completed the update.

The first listed account within your ANZ Internet Banking service will automatically be the default account when paying BPAY® bills, transferring funds, making payments or viewing accounts.

Important notes

  • Phone numbers and email addresses will be updated in ANZ systems immediately
  • Please allow up to five bank business days for your address change to be processed
  • If your address change is urgent, please contact general enquiries or visit any ANZ branch
  • If you’re an ANZ Insurance policy owner, changing your address can affect policy conditions. You’ll also need to inform the ANZ Insurance Centre of the change on 13 16 14 between 8am-8pm (AEST/AEDT), Monday to Friday.

Investment accounts

To change your address or update your contact details for investments accounts (including superannuation savings accounts) please call the ANZ Investments team on 13 38 63 (International callers: +61 2 9234 8111) Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 8.00pm AEST.

V2 Plus accounts

To change your address or update your contact details for your V2 Plus Account please call the ANZ V2 Plus team on 13 28 33 (International callers: +61 3 8699 6994), Monday to Friday 8.00am to 8.00pm AEST.

Please allow two bank business days for your changes to be processed.

Statutory trust accounts

To change your address and contact details for Statutory Trust Accounts, please visit your nearest ANZ branch.

ANZ Share Investing account

To change your address and contact details for ANZ Share Investing Accounts, please forward your request in writing to requests@anzshareinvesting.com or post to:

Yes. You can update your address in one of the following three ways:

Option 1 - Via ANZ Internet Banking

Option 2 - Over the phone

Option 3 - Visit your local ANZ branch

  • You can also visit your local ANZ branch to update your personal and business address immediately
  • If you are a third party signatory on your business account, we will not be able to update your address on the business account via ANZ Internet Banking or over the phone
  • Please visit your local branch to update your address.

It may take up to five bank business days to update your address in ANZ systems. 

If you believe that your details need to be updated sooner, you can contact general enquiries or visit your nearest ANZ branch.

You can only update your address on the accounts you have linked to ANZ Internet Banking. If you would like to update your address on your accounts not linked to ANZ Internet Banking, please contact general enquiries or visit your nearest ANZ branch.

No. The primary card holder for the ANZ Credit Card account is required to authorise any changes for an ANZ Credit Card.

The address for the following account types cannot be changed in ANZ Internet Banking:

  • ANZ Share Investing accounts
  • Investment accounts (including Superannuation Savings accounts)
  • V2 Plus accounts
  • Statutory Trust accounts.

To change your address or update your contact details for ANZ Investment accounts (including Superannuation Savings accounts), please contact the ANZ Customer Service team for investment accounts using the following details:
