Change personal address/contact details

Keeping your details up to date helps ANZ get in touch with you, which is why we provide four secure ways to do so. You can update your details now by logging into ANZ Internet Banking. See below for further details.

How do I update my personal details?

  • Select the Profile icon from the header

Updating your phone numbers

  • Select Profile & Security
  • Select Phone under Contact details
  • Select Edit next to the phone number you’d like to change.

If you’re updating your mobile number:

  • Answer your challenge questions
  • Enter your new mobile number
  • Enter your verification code

If you’re updating your home or work number:

  • Answer your challenge questions
  • Enter your new home or work number

If you wish to delete a phone number, please contact general enquiries or visit any ANZ branch.

Updating your email address

  • Select Profile & Security
  • Select Email under Contact details
  • Select Edit
  • Enter your verification code
  • Enter your new email address
  • Verify your new email address

Requesting an update to your address

Step 1: Requesting an update to your residential address

  • Select Profile & Security
  • Select Address under the Contact details heading
  • Select Edit
  • Read the important information screens
  • Enter your verification code, which you will receive on the mobile device you have registered with ANZ
  • Under the 'Residential address' section:
    • Select your country
    • Enter your address into the relevant fields (mandatory fields must be populated)
    • Ensure you enter the correct postcode, suburb and state details
    • Select Next to review your updated address details.

Please Note: Postal delivery address (e.g. PO Box or Locked Bag) won’t be accepted for residential addresses.

Step 2: Mailing Address the same as residential address

If your postal address is the same as your residential address, leave the Mailing address same as above toggle switch unchanged in the Review your address screen, and select Continue.

Step 3: Mailing Address different to residential address

If your mailing address differs:

  • Switch OFF Mailing address same as above toggle and select Continue.

For Street Address:

  • Select Street Address tab
  • Select your country
  • Enter your address using the relevant fields (mandatory fields must be populated)
  • Ensure you enter the correct postcode, suburb and state details
  • Select Continue to submit your address(es)

For Other Address:

  • Select Other tab for postal delivery address (e.g. PO Box or Locked Bag)
  • Select Postal type
  • Enter your postal delivery details into the relevant fields (mandatory fields must be populated)
  • Ensure you enter the correct postcode, suburb and state details
  • Select Continue to submit your address(es)

Please Note: Postal delivery address (e.g. PO Box or Locked Bag) are only applicable in Australia.

Important notes

  • Phone numbers and email address will be updated in ANZ systems immediately.
  • Address updates can take up to 5 business days to be processed. Any statements and notices generated in this period may be sent to your old address.
  • ANZ will send you an email confirming the accounts and products that the address update has been applied to. If one or more of your accounts or products isn’t listed, please follow the instructions in that email to update the address for those accounts and products.
  • If your address change is urgent, please contact general enquiries or visit any ANZ branch.
  • If you’re an ANZ Insurance policy owner, changing your address can affect policy conditions. You’ll also need to inform the ANZ Insurance Centre of the change on 13 16 14 between 8am-8pm (AEST/AEDT), Monday to Friday.

Joint Accounts

Certain joint accounts may require all account holders to consent to updating the address details. Please visit an ANZ branch with all the required account holders and photo ID to update your address.

Yes. You can update your address in one of the following three ways:

Option 1 - Via ANZ Internet Banking

Option 2 - Over the phone

Option 3 - Visit your local ANZ branch

  • You can also visit your local ANZ branch to update your personal and business address immediately
  • If you are a third party signatory on your business account, we will not be able to update your address on the business account via ANZ Internet Banking or over the phone
  • Please visit your local branch to update your address.
  • Phone numbers and email address will be updated in ANZ systems immediately.
  • Address updates can take up to 5 business days to be processed. Any statements and notices generated in this period may be sent to your old address.
  • If your address change is urgent, please contact general enquiries or visit any ANZ branch.

If you need your details to be updated sooner, you can contact our ANZ Internet Banking Helpdesk on 13 33 50 (International callers: +61 3 9683 8833), 24 hours a day, seven days a week, or visit any ANZ branch in Australia.

 

Your updated address will be applied to the following:

  • Your residential and/or mailing address on your personal profile*
  • All eligible accounts and in progress loan applications for which you are a primary account holder or have power of attorney recorded with ANZ
  • All eligible accounts and in progress loan applications with the same address as your residential or mailing address on your personal profile before the update
  • Company accounts for which you are the sole owner and you are trading under a business name recorded with ANZ or for which you are the single director of the company
  • All eligible accounts and in progress loan applications linked to your other Customer Registration Numbers (CRNs) that match the above rules

Your updated address won't be applied to the following:

  • Accounts with an address that is different to the residential or mailing address currently recorded on your personal profile
  • Accounts for which you are not the primary account holder
  • Accounts that require multiple account holders to consent to updating details. To update these accounts, please visit an ANZ branch with all the required account holders
  • Accounts linked to other Customer Registration Numbers (CRNs) with different addresses to your residential or mailing address on your personal profile before the update
  • Business credit cards
  • Company accounts for which you are not a single director
  • Your business profile. This is the profile for your company, partnership or other organisational entity
  • Products issued by a third party (such as insurance, share investing and superannuation)

*Your personal profile is a collection of personal information ANZ holds about you as a customer (such as your preferred/legal name, phone number, email address, and address details). The address on your personal profile is separate and can be different to the address(es) associated with your individual accounts and products.

No. The primary card holder for the ANZ Credit Card account is required to authorise any changes for an ANZ Credit Card.

If you’re an ANZ Insurance policy owner, changing your address can affect policy conditions. You’ll also need to inform the ANZ Insurance Centre of the change on 13 16 14 8am-8pm (AEST/AEDT), Monday to Friday.
