Phase 1 – on and from 9 December 2026:

We’re introducing 3 levels of insurance benefits across our credit cards. Each level determines the cover available. The ANZ Rewards Travel Adventures credit card will be classified as a Level 2 Card.

As a Level 2 Card, the following changes will be made to the International Travel Insurance cover for the ANZ Rewards Travel Adventures credit card on and from 9 December 2026:

  • The maximum period of cover for International Travel Insurance will reduce from up to three (3) consecutive months to up to one (1) month for you, your spouse and/or dependants.
  • Trip cancellation cover will reduce from $20,000 to $10,000 per cardholder or spouse. Dependants are included within the cardholder’s limit.
  • Personal liability cover will reduce from $3,000,000 to $1,000,000 per event for the cardholder or spouse. Dependants are included within the cardholder’s limit.
  • Some International Travel Insurance benefits will be removed. From this date, International Travel Insurance cover will only include access to:
    • Overseas Emergency Assistance (including medical evacuation and repatriation)
    • Overseas Emergency Medical
    • Overseas Emergency Dental (spontaneous toothache)
    • Cancellation
    • Personal Liability

These changes will affect the cover when travelling overseas. This is a summary only. We recommend that you review the updated Policy Information Booklet effective 9 December 2026 to understand the cover and whether you need to consider arranging alternative travel insurance cover, having regard to your circumstances.

Phase 2 – on and from 24 March 2027:

We’re also making further changes to the International Travel Insurance cover for Level 1 Cards. As the ANZ Rewards Travel Adventures credit card will be a Level 2 Card, these phase 2 changes on 24 March 2027 will not affect the cover. International Travel Insurance (for people aged under 81 years) will be renamed to “International Travel Insurance (Overseas Medical, Cancellation and Personal Liability for people aged under 81 years)”.
