Rename and reorder my accounts

Rename accounts

Step 1 

Go to the “Settings” menu and select “Personalise accounts” (If you’re already on the Personalise accounts screen then you can skip this step.)

Step 2

In your account list, find the account you want to rename and then select “Rename” from the right-hand side of the screen.

Step 3

On the Rename account screen, select the field under “Change your account name” and then type the name you’ve chosen for that account.

Note: Your new account name can be up to 20 characters long and include letters and numbers. It should not include other symbols, including punctuation, or inappropriate language.

Step 4

Select “Save” to change the name of your account.

Note: If you have included any restricted words, your account name won’t change and you’ll be asked to remove those words before you can continue.

Your account’s new nickname will be used throughout ANZ Internet Banking, however it won’t change in the bank’s official or legal records, or in the ANZ App.

Frequently asked questions

To change your name back to default, you need to remove any text in the “Change your account name” field. Once you’ve done this, select Save and your account name will revert to the default for that account type.

Reorder accounts

Step 1 

Go to the “Settings” menu and select “Personalise accounts” (If you’re already on the Personalise accounts screen then you can skip this step.)

Step 2

In your account list, select the account you’d like to move and drag it up or down the list. Repeat this process until your accounts are in your preferred order.

Note: The account at the top of the list will become your default any time you’re asked to select an account in ANZ Internet Banking.

Step 3

Once your accounts are in the order you want, make sure to select “Save” to save your changes. The new order of your accounts is only applicable in ANZ Internet Banking, it won’t appear in the ANZ App. 

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Once you’ve reordered your accounts, your account list will update immediately throughout your ANZ Internet Banking session.

No. As an operator you can’t rename or reorder accounts. This function is only open to the account holders and signatories to an account.
