Changed your details? Whether it’s your name, address, phone, email or even nickname you prefer to use with us, you can update them in a flash in the ANZ App or Internet Banking.

Address updates across ANZ and ANZ Plus

If you also have ANZ Plus accounts, you should check that your address has been updated in your profile in the ANZ Plus app. If it hasn’t you can learn how to update your details.

Update your address - Before you start

  • Check your account details – For some account types, you may need to update your address by contacting us directly, as changes might not be available through the ANZ App or Internet Banking.
  • You can add more than one address if you have different residential and mailing addresses.
  • You must not nominate a PO Box or Locked Bag address as a residential address or for the receipt of newly issued cards or replacement cards.
  • Updating to an overseas address, or live overseas and want to update to a new international address? You can update your address in the ANZ App or Internet Banking or Contact us to change these details.

Tap Profile then your name

Tap on Address. Read the important information screens and follow the prompts. Simple!

Update your address in ANZ Internet Banking

Update your address for eligible accounts in 4 steps, easy.

Log in to Internet Banking

From the header, select Profile, then Profile and Security

Under Contact details, select Address

On the address you'd like to change, click Edit. Read the important information screens and follow the prompts.

What happens next

We’ll send you an SMS and or email confirming your request. Once actioned, then, we’ll send you a further email confirming the accounts and products that have been updated with your new address and next steps if applicable.

Things to consider

Updated address details will only be applied to some accounts. For certain accounts you may not be able to change your address details through the ANZ App or Internet Banking.

Update other details

Need to change your gender, title, legal name or surname with us? We’re happy to help book a branch appointment or call us.

Update your gender or title

You don’t need to update your gender on identification documents to change the gender recorded on your ANZ profile. However, you’ll still need to provide personal identification documents (like a passport or driver’s licence) so we can verify your identity.

Things to consider

While we’re introducing non-binary gender and Mx titles across ANZ, they may not be available for all segments and products.

Update your legal name

To update your legal name with us, we’ll need your proof of name change (such as a marriage, or change of name certificate). Your details will be updated immediately on our system, and we’ll send you replacements for any existing cards and passbooks with your updated name.

Update your surname

Need to change your surname after a change in circumstances like marriage or divorce? Here’s how:

  1. Have proof of your name change handy (such as a marriage or change of name certificate)
  2. Book a branch appointment, bringing along any other signatories listed on the accounts you'd like to update.
  3. You’ll sign a Signature Form under the witness of an ANZ staff member. Done!

FAQs

Your updated address will be applied to the following:

  • Your residential and/or mailing address on your personal profile*
  • All eligible accounts and in progress loan applications for which you are a primary account holder or have power of attorney recorded with ANZ
  • All eligible accounts and in progress loan applications with the same address as your residential or mailing address on your personal profile before the update
  • Company accounts for which you are the sole owner and you are trading under a business name recorded with ANZ or for which you are the single director of the business
  • All eligible accounts and in progress loan applications linked to your other Customer Registration Numbers (CRNs) that match the above rules

*Your personal profile is a collection of personal information ANZ holds about you as a customer (such as your preferred/legal name, phone number, email address, and address details). The address on your personal profile is separate and can be different to the address(es) associated with your individual accounts and products.

 

Your updated address won't be applied to the following:

  • Accounts with an address that is different to the residential or mailing address currently recorded on your personal profile
  • Accounts for which you are not the primary account holder
  • Accounts that require multiple account holders to consent to updating details. To update these accounts, please visit an ANZ branch with all the required account holders
  • Accounts linked to other Customer Registration Numbers (CRNs) with different addresses to your residential or mailing address on your personal profile before the update
  • Business credit cards
  • Company accounts for which you are not a single director
  • Your business profile. This is the profile for your company, partnership or other organisational entity
  • Products issued by a third party (such as insurance, share investing and superannuation)

If you also have ANZ Plus Accounts, you should check that your address has been updated in your profile in the ANZ Plus app.

No. The primary card holder for the ANZ Credit Card account is required to authorise any changes for an ANZ Credit Card.

Joint accounts

If your joint account is set up to require all signatories to approve account maintenance activities, you’ll need to visit an ANZ branch to update your address. Please ensure all account holders attend the branch together and bring valid photo ID for each person.

If you’re an ANZ Insurance policy owner, changing your address can affect policy conditions. You’ll also need to inform the ANZ Insurance Centre of the change on 13 16 14 (Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 8:00pm (AEST).
