Welcome to the club. You’ll need to activate your new credit card and join both programs.

Visit the ANZ Rewards Velocity Frequent Flyer page and switch on auto-redemption for Velocity Points within 3 months of approval:

  • Log in to your ANZ Rewards account when prompted
  • Switch on auto-redemption and enter your Velocity member number
  • Press Submit then review and confirm your auto-redemption

Keep auto-redemption on

To claim your 70,000 bonus Velocity Points, keep auto-redemption on until you receive a redemption email or SMS, which will include a Reward Code to claim your 70,000 Points.

To claim your additional 30,000 bonus Velocity Points, keep auto-redemption on until you receive a redemption email or SMS, which will include a Reward Code to claim your 30,000 Points.

Who can apply?
 

To apply for an ANZ Rewards Platinum credit card, you’ll need to:

  • be 18 years of age or over
  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have more than 12 months left on your visa
  • have a good credit rating
  • ensure if applying for an offer, you don’t currently hold and haven’t opened or closed an ANZ Rewards Black, ANZ Rewards Platinum, ANZ Rewards Travel Adventure or an ANZ Rewards credit card in the last 12 months and meet all other offer eligibility criteria.

Interest-free period changes

We regularly review our products, pricing and product features, and have made these changes to reflect current market conditions.

The interest-free period on the purchases balance for your ANZ Rewards Platinum account will change from 'up to 55 days' to 'up to 44 days'.

As a result, your payment Due Date will change. Your Due Date will be 14 days after the end of the statement period instead of 25 days. However, this excludes any amounts 'Payable Immediately’ such as overdue and overlimit amounts.

The changes take effect on 1 November 2024 and will be reflected in statements we send you on and from this date.

If you pay your full Closing Balance (or if applicable, your 'Adjusted Closing Balance') by the Due Date on your statement each month, you could avoid paying interest on your purchases balance. Visit how to avoid paying credit card interest to find out more.

1. If you have recurring payments set up from another financial institution to pay your credit card

Please instruct your nominated bank to align these payments with the Due Date as set out in your statements.

2. If you have set up recurring payments or transfer in ANZ Internet Banking to pay your credit card

3. If you have CardPay Direct set up, or use ‘Pay ANZ Credit Card’ via ANZ Internet Banking to pay your credit card
If you have CardPay Direct set up, or use 'Pay ANZ Credit Card' via ANZ Internet Banking, this will automatically change to align with the Due Date as set out in your statements.

To view if you have CardPay Direct or ‘Pay ANZ Credit Card’ via ANZ Internet Banking set up:

CardPay Direct

If you have CardPay Direct set up, you should see a message under the ‘Important Messages’ heading on your statement advising you of the account that will be debited and the date of your CardPay Direct payment.

'Pay ANZ Credit Card’ via ANZ Internet Banking

If you use ‘Pay ANZ Credit Card’ via ANZ Internet Banking, go to the Payments menu and select Manage future payments / transfers. Under payment type you’ll find ‘Monthly Credit Card Payment’ and the Lodgement No. will start with 'PCC'.

4. If you pay your credit card manually

If you pay your credit card manually, please be aware of the Due Date in your statements when making your payments.

You can request to change the statement issue date of your credit card so that you can better manage your payments. You can do this by completing the 'Statement Issue Date Change Request (PDF)' form, or via Message Us in the ANZ App. Statement issue date changes can take up to two months to come into effect after the request has been processed.

Yes, the ANZ First, ANZ Low Rate and ANZ Platinum offer an interest-free period of up to 55 days on purchases.
