From 27 March 2026, customers can no longer purchase a bank cheque through ANZ Internet Banking or ANZ Internet Banking for Business. You can continue to purchase a bank cheque by visiting an ANZ Branch.
Bank cheques provide an alternative way to pay an individual or business. If you have a cheque or savings account, you can purchase a bank cheque at one of our branches. A $10 fee will apply for each bank cheque purchased and other fees and charges may apply based on your account type. Please refer to the relevant product fees and charges booklets available on anz.com.

Locate your nearest branch and book an appointment by using our appointment booking tool.
You can use the ANZ App or ANZ Internet Banking to make large payments up to your daily Pay Anyone limit. If limits aren’t sufficient, you can make payments using multiple channels in a day (i.e. combine the daily ANZ App and ANZ Internet Banking Pay Anyone limits), schedule payments over multiple days or use a Domestic Money Transfer.

To request an urgent stop payment on a lost or stolen bank cheque or to cancel a bank cheque you have purchased via ANZ Internet Banking, please contact ANZ Internet Banking team on 13 33 50 (International callers: +61 3 9683 8833) 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Bank cheques purchased via ANZ Internet Banking cannot be stopped at an ANZ branch.
