Your Pay Anyone payee list is comprised of the recipients you have saved in order to make Pay Anyone payments to them in the future.

Your payee’s nickname is the name your payee will appear under, and be organised by, in your Pay Anyone payee list.

How do I edit a payee nickname?

To edit a payee nickname, you’ll need to be logged in to ANZ Internet Banking.

Step 1 – Navigate to “Manage payees”

Go to the “Settings” menu.

Select “Manage payees”.

Step 2 – Update the nickname and select “Save”

Find the payee whose nickname you want to edit after doing the following:

Looking through your payees; or

Filtering your payees using the filter textbox (look for the magnifying glass).

Enter characters of your payee’s nickname or any associated payment type.

Select “edit” for the payee you wish to edit.

Select “edit” on the payee nickname field.

Enter the updated nickname for this payee.

When you are happy with the updated nickname, select “Save”.

Your payee’s new nickname will be saved immediately within the same ANZ Internet Banking session and you will be returned to the edit payee modal for this payee.

Select the “X” to return to your Pay Anyone manage payees list.

If one of your payees has created a PayID you can add it to your existing payee by selecting “Add a new payment type”. You will still be able to pay to their BSB and Account number however you should check where your payee would prefer you to address your payment.

You can save multiple payment types for each of your payees, or you can remove payment type/s from a payee if you no longer need them.

Yes. You can delete a payee if you would like to permanently remove them from your payee list.

No. A payee you add doesn’t need to have an ANZ account.

You cannot edit a payee if there is a future or recurring payment scheduled for that person.

For example, if you have recurring payments scheduled for a payee, that payee cannot be edited.

You must first cancel any pending future or recurring payments.

If you wish to delete a future dated or recurring payment, the request must be lodged with ANZ Internet Banking prior to 11.59pm Melbourne time on the day prior to the payment date.

No. Changing a payee nickname will only change the way their name appears in your payee list and on your lodgement receipts.
