ANZ Plus has announced the launch of My Accounts, an industry leading new feature giving customers a consolidated view of their bank accounts held with ANZ, ANZ Plus and other Australian financial institutions, all from within the ANZ Plus app.
Using Open Banking, My Accounts provides ANZ Plus customers a safe and secure way to link their eligible accounts to more easily track and understand their finances. This is the first time an Australian banking app has provided the ability to see a consolidated account view across financial institutions, using Open Banking technology.
Maile Carnegie, Group Executive Australia Retail said: “Almost half of Australians are a customer of two or more banks. My Accounts allows ANZ Plus customers to easily and securely see their Australian accounts in one place.
“Instead of having to flick between multiple apps or websites, our more than 800,000 ANZ Plus customers are the first in Australia to be able to use their banking app to see their consolidated accounts using Open Banking.
“By giving our customers a bird’s eye perspective of their accounts, we can help them to better understand and manage their money,” Ms Carnegie said.
Open Banking provides a safe and secure way of sharing banking data. By using Open Banking, customers won’t be asked to share their passwords from other banks or third-party providers when sharing their data with ANZ Plus.
Eligible accounts can include transaction, savings, credit card, and home loan accounts (and may include joint accounts, business accounts and trust accounts). Once linked, in addition to having a consolidated view of those accounts, customers can also see transactions on their eligible ANZ accounts and transactions that have been shared to ANZ Plus from other eligible banks and providers.
“We are excited to share this powerful new feature with our customers. Built on our modern ANZ Plus banking platform, it serves as a strong foundation to offer our customers new tools and insights to help them improve their financial wellbeing,” Ms Carnegie said.
