What is the Savings Jar?

What is the Savings Jar?

The Savings Jar is where you'll find any savings in your ANZ Plus Growth Saver account that haven't been allocated to a goal.

Any payments that are addressed to your ANZ Plus Growth Saver account will be paid into your Savings Jar, as well as any interest you receive on your ANZ Plus Growth Saver account.

If your Savings Jar has a negative balance

Your Savings Jar may display a negative balance if a payment is charged to your ANZ Plus Growth Saver account and you don’t have enough in the Savings Jar to cover it. If this happens, you will need to rebalance your savings goals or top up your ANZ Plus Growth Saver account.

The amount shown as your ANZ Plus Growth Saver Funds is the net amount of your goals and Savings Jar. For example, if you have a negative balance (e.g. -$100) in your Savings Jar but a positive balance (e.g. $200) in a goal that you have set up to save for a holiday, $100 will be shown as your ANZ Plus Growth Saver Funds.

Joint Savings Jar

If you have a Joint ANZ Plus Growth Saver account, you'll have a Joint Savings Jar which you'll share with your plus one.
