ANZ today celebrates creativity in Queensland as Brisbane Festival returns, marking the bank's third year as a major partner of the state's largest annual arts and cultural event.
This year, ANZ is proud to present Bright Nights by ANZ, a free water, light and sound installation that will illuminate Brisbane and its landmark river three times per night, Tuesdays to Sundays, from 4 to 26 September.
Featuring floating fountains, animated water features, laser lights, and an exclusive soundtrack from Brisbane’s The Veronicas, the experience will transform the Brisbane River into a vibrant celebration of creativity, connection and community.
The ongoing partnership with Brisbane Festival reflects ANZ's commitment to investing in Queensland communities and the state's thriving creative sector.
ANZ Managing Director, Queensland, and Suncorp Bank CEO, Bruce Rush, said: "We're proud to continue our partnership with Brisbane Festival for a third consecutive year, supporting an event that celebrates the creativity, culture and community spirit that make Queensland unique.
"This partnership, together with our collaborations with organisations including The University of Queensland and Griffith University, our financial education initiatives and our support for Queensland community organisations, reflects our commitment to helping build a resilient Queensland economy while supporting the events and experiences that are important to local communities," Mr Rush said.
ANZ Chief Marketing Officer, Sian Chadwick said: “ANZ is delighted to return as a major partner of Brisbane Festival for a third consecutive year. The event is a standout celebration of Queensland's thriving arts and cultural scene, and we're proud to help make this year's program possible.
“Bright Nights by ANZ is sure to be a highlight of the festival, bringing people together through a spectacular display of water, light and sound. We encourage everyone to experience the show and enjoy everything Brisbane Festival has to offer,” Ms Chadwick said.
Brisbane Festival Artistic Director Ebony Bott said: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with ANZ to bring Bright Nights by ANZ to life. This nightly spectacle will transform the Brisbane River into a choreographed canvas of floating fountains, water screens, lasers and jets soaring up to 80 metres high. Set to an original soundtrack by Brisbane’s own The Veronicas, Bright Nights by ANZ is a free experience that invites everyone to celebrate a city shaped by its winding river.”
Brisbane Festival is an initiative of the Queensland Government and Brisbane City Council.
