ANZ recognised as top performer for inclusive procurement in national index

2026-05-19 00:00

ANZ has been recognised as a ‘Top Performer’ and ‘Best in Class – Procurement’ in the 2025 Access and Inclusion Index.

The recognition highlights ANZ’s commitment to embedding accessibility and inclusion into its operations - particularly in how it works with suppliers and partners.

Led by the Australian Disability Network, the Access and Inclusion Index is Australia’s leading independent benchmark for disability inclusion, assessing how organisations remove barriers and create inclusive experiences for employees, customers and communities.

ANZ ranked fourth out of 27 organisations, reflecting the work the bank has done to embed accessibility into procurement processes, supported by initiatives such as its Supplier Code of Practice, strong community partnerships, and Accessible Technology Charter – a program that supports the design, procurement and delivery of accessible technology across the organisation.

Head of ANZ Design Australia and Chair of the ANZ Accessibility Steering Committee, Darren Baird, said the recognition reflects the deliberate steps the bank is taking to embed accessibility into everyday decision-making.

“This recognition reflects the steady progress we’ve made to embed accessibility and inclusion into how we operate at ANZ. We’re particularly proud to see ANZ Procurement recognised, because it plays such an important role in shaping inclusive experiences for our customers and employees.

“There is always more to do. Listening to the experiences of our customers and employees continues to guide how we improve our processes and build a more inclusive organisation,” Mr Baird said.

ANZ also performed strongly in Commitment and Customer Experience, demonstrating progress in building disability confidence across the organisation through inclusive design principles and innovating accessibility features into our products.

The Index recognised ANZ’s strong feedback processes, including insights gathered through customer feedback, employee surveys and internal reviews, which are used to improve accessibility outcomes.

This is the third time ANZ has participated in the Index (2017, 2020 and 2025), reflecting its ongoing commitment to measuring and improving performance.

ANZ has been a Gold member of the Australian Disability Network since 2006 and continues to support initiatives that promote disability inclusion.
