Business & Private Bank leadership changes

ANZ today announced Tammy Medard has been appointed Group Executive Business & Private Bank effective 1 May 2026. Ms Medard succeeds Clare Morgan who will leave ANZ having completed the establishment of the division, resetting performance, developing the digital strategy and laying the foundations for future growth.

Ms Medard is currently Managing Director Institutional Australia and Papua New Guinea, where she has been responsible for our 3,500 Institutional customers in those markets. Since joining ANZ in 2009, Ms Medard has held senior roles across ANZ’s Institutional and Risk divisions both in Australia and Asia. 

Reporting to Mr Matos, Ms Medard will join the Executive Committee and be responsible for leading ANZ’s Business & Private Bank division, improving the experience of customers as well as driving future growth and performance as part of ANZ’s 2030 strategy. 

Commenting on the appointment Mr Matos said: “Tammy is an experienced and customer-focused business banker who has played a central role in building our market-leading institutional franchise in Australia. I’m confident under her leadership we will deliver even more for our customers, particularly as we bring the best of our Institutional bank to our business customers.”

Commenting on Ms Morgan, Mr Matos said: “Clare has played a significant leadership role as we established Business & Private Bank as a standalone division and set the foundations for growth. Clare is a highly professional leader. I have valued her expertise and support since I joined and we all wish her well for the future.”

The appointment of Ms Medard is subject to regulatory approvals. Ms Morgan will assist with a comprehensive transition through to Ms Medard’s commencement.
