ANZ Internet Banking allows you to transfer money between your ANZ accounts that you have linked to ANZ Internet Banking.
How do I transfer between my accounts?
Follow the steps below to transfer money between your ANZ accounts.
Step 1 - Navigate to "Transfer between my accounts"
- Select the "Payments" menu
- Select "Transfer between my accounts".
Step 2 - Select an account to make your transfer from
- Only accounts eligible to transfer funds will display
- Select the account you wish to transfer to after doing the following:
- looking through your accounts; or
- filtering your accounts using the filter textbox (look for the magnifying glass).
- Enter characters of your account’s BSB, Account number, Account name, Funds or Balance
- To filter on Funds or Balance, be sure to include any commas. Eg. Type in 2,300 rather than 2300.
- If you change your mind and want to select a different account, either:
- Select the new account (if the view toggle is set to “Tile”);or
- Select the dropdown and then select a new account (if the view toggle is set to “List”)
Step 3 - Select an account to transfer to
- Only accounts eligible to receive funds will display
- The account already selected in the previous step won't be selectable in this step
- Select the account you wish to transfer to after doing the following:
- looking through your accounts; or
- filtering your accounts using the filter textbox (look for the magnifying glass).
- Enter characters of your account’s BSB, Account number, Account name, Funds or Balance
- To filter on Funds or Balance, be sure to include any commas. Eg. Type in 2,300 rather than 2300
- If you change your mind and want to select a different account, either:
- Select the new account (if the view toggle is set to “Tile”);or
- Select the dropdown and then select a new account (if the view toggle is set to “List”)
Step 4 - Enter your transfer details
Enter the transfer details:
Amount: Enter the amount you wish to transfer.
Step 5 - Select your transfer schedule
Select your transfer schedule from the three "Make payment" options:
Option 1 - Create a one off transfer for today
- Select the "Today" option (if not already selected)
Option 2 - Create a one-off transfer for a future date
- Select the "Later" option
- Enter or select a date for your transfer. The date must fall within the next 12 months.
Option 3 - Create a schedule of regular transfers
- Select the "Recurring" option
- Select the "Frequency" of your transfers. Either Daily, Weekly, Fortnightly, Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-annually or Annually.
- Enter or select a start date. Your first transfer will be made on this date
- Specify when you want the transfer schedule to end. The options are:
- Never: The transfers will continue to be made until you delete the scheduled transfer(s). See Delete a future payment/transfer for more information.
- After: Enter the number of transfers to be made
- On: Enter or select a date using the calendar icon. Transfers will continue until this date. This must be a date within the next 10 years.
- Select "Continue" to proceed.
Step 6 - Review and confirm
Review all your information to ensure it is correct. If you notice mistakes, select "Back" and re-enter the correct details following steps 2-5.
When you're happy with the information entered select "Confirm". This will complete the transfer and a confirmation message will display.
If you are an ANZ Internet Banking for Business Operator, you will instead select the "Request authorisation" button to submit the transfer to the relevant Authoriser for approval.
Step 7 - View your lodgement receipt
- Your lodgement receipt is displayed to confirm that your transfer has been submitted successfully
- The lodgement receipt doesn’t necessarily mean the transfer will be processed successfully as that is dependent on the details you have entered being accurate, and on funds being available for the transfer to occur on the set date(s)
- Please make a note of the lodgement number and receipt number (if available) for your own records.
Important notes
- When you request future dated or recurring transfers please remember that cleared funds must be available in your account at 11.59pm Melbourne time on the day before the scheduled transfer
- Transfers from your ANZ Credit Card will be treated as a cash advance, a fee may be charged and interest will accrue accordingly.
- Withdrawals from an ANZ Share Investing account are not available via ANZ Internet Banking.
