Donate to charity
ANZ have partnered with a broad range of Australian charities, all with extremely worthy causes, to make it easy for you to donate online.
- You can transfer a donation straight from one of your linked accounts to the account of your chosen charity.
- You must be registered for Pay Anyone and your daily limit will apply.
How do I donate to chairty?
Note: You must be registered for Pay Anyone to donate to charity and your daily limit will apply.
To make a donation:
Select the “Payments” menu
Select “Donate to charity”
Follow the steps below.
Step 1 - Browse ANZ's list of charity partners (optional)
You will see a list of all our charity partners
Click on a particular charity partner link if you want to read more about them
A new window will open with more details, and with a link to the charity’s website
Close the new window when you have finished reading.
Step 2 - Create your payment
From account: select the account you want to make the donation from. Any donation from a credit card will be treated as a cash advance.
Select charity: select your preferred charity, using the drop down list.
Donation details: fill in your name and the amount you want to donate, using a decimal point, if applicable.
The name you insert here will appear on your lodgement receipt, which you will need to retain for tax purposes.
Click "Submit".
Step 3 - Review your information and confirm the payment
Review all your information on the "Charity Donations - Review Request" page. If information is incorrect it may result in the wrong charity receiving funds.
If you notice any mistakes click "Back" on the bottom left and repeat steps 2 to 3.
When you are happy with the information entered click "Confirm".
This will complete the transfer and a charity confirmation message will display in a new window
Close the new window
ANZ Internet Banking for Business Operators can click on the "Request authorisation" button to submit the charity donation to the relevant Authoriser for approval.
Step 4 - View your lodgement receipt
Your lodgement receipt is displayed to confirm that your transaction has been submitted successfully.
This does not mean the transaction will be processed successfully as that is dependent on the details you have entered being accurate, and on funds being available for the transaction to occur on the set date(s).
Please make a note of the receipt number and lodgement number for your own records.
To print this page, click on the "Print" icon in the top right corner.

Important notes
Your donation will be processed by way of an "online" direct debit payment from your account.
Donation payments submitted before 6.00pm (AEST) on a bank business day will be processed on the same day.
Donation payments submitted after 6.00pm (AEST) or on weekends or public holidays will be deducted from your account immediately and will be processed on the next bank business day.
The time that it takes for the charity's account to be credited will depend on the policy and systems of their bank.
