Change my credit card type
We know that your financial needs change over time. So, we've made it easy for you to request a change to your ANZ Credit Card type whenever you need.

How do I change my credit card type?
To change your credit card type:
Go to the Home page, which is the first page you see when you log on to ANZ Internet Banking.
Select your credit card account.
From the "Account Overview" page, select the "Change your Credit Card type" link from the Account actions and follow the steps below.

Note the following:
- Only the primary cardholder can request a change to their credit card type
- This service is available for consumer credit cards only. To change your business credit card type, please visit your ANZ branch
- This service is only available for currently promoted ANZ Credit Card products. If you wish to change from card products no longer promoted (such as ANZ Visa PAYCARD and ANZ Rewards Visa PAYCARD) you will need to visit your ANZ branch.
Step 1 - Read the overview information
The information on this page highlights the pre-requisites for changing your credit card type and explains what happens after the changeover
Use the "Compare ANZ credit cards" link to view the features of the cards available
If you want to change your existing limit, you can apply for a credit limit increase or credit limit decrease using the corresponding links
If you are satisfied your current credit limit will suit your needs, click "Continue".
Step 2 – Select your existing card
Using the "Card or account" dropdown, choose the existing card you wish to change (if it’s not already selected.
Step 3 – Choose your new card
Select the new card from options presented under "New card selection"
Step 4 – Enter your Frequent Flyer Number (Optional)
If you are an existing Qantas Frequent Flyer member and your new card is eligible for frequent flyer points, enter your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number in the textbox
Note, you can choose to leave this blank
Click "Next".
Step 5 – Read the unused points information
Read the information that applies to the reward’s program of your existing card (where applicable)
Click "Next".
Step 6 – Provide optional information to ANZ
ANZ needs to understand your preferences in how we manage your new credit card
If you wish to consent to receive written credit limit increase invitations for this card in the future, select the checkbox in the "Credit limit increase invitations" section, after reading the associated terms and conditions
If you wish to consent to be charged an Overlimit fee when you exceed your credit card limit, select the checkbox in the "Overlimit fee" section after reading the associated terms and conditions
Click "Next".
Step 7 – Complete the declarations
Ensure you’ve read all the information provided on this screen
Click the first checkbox to declare you can afford the repayments on the new card
Click the second checkbox to authorise the closing of your existing account
Click "Submit" for ANZ to proceed with your request.
