Bringing your super into one account can make it easier for you to keep track of your retirement savings. It can also mean you’re not paying multiple fees and insurance premiums. A third of accounts (about 10 million) are unintended multiple accounts and these erode members’ balances by $2.6 billion a year in unnecessary fees and insurance premiumsdisclaimer. We’ve made it easier for you to access your ANZ Smart Choice Super account online. It takes less than two minutes, and you’ll have immediate access to your super account online. You’ll need your Member ID, which you can find on emails from us, Annual Statements or your Welcome Pack. Alternatively, you can call 13 12 87 and the team will help you.

Implications of moving funds

Please note, moving funds (including terminal medical condition payments) may have taxation, investment and insurance implications. You may want to consult a financial adviser before making any decisions.

Insurance cover

It’s important to check whether you’ll lose any existing insurance cover after bringing your super funds together and whether your remaining cover is sufficient. If you have more than one super account, you may be paying premiums on multiple insurance policies. This can reduce your retirement savings and you may not be able to claim on multiple policies. Consider whether you need more than one policy or whether you can get enough insurance through one super fund.
