Implications of moving funds

Please note, moving funds (including terminal medical condition payments) may have taxation, investment and insurance implications. You may want to consult a financial adviser before making any decisions.

Insurance cover

It’s important to check whether you’ll lose any existing insurance cover after bringing your super funds together and whether your remaining cover is sufficient. If you have more than one super account, you may be paying premiums on multiple insurance policies. This can reduce your retirement savings and you may not be able to claim on multiple policies. Consider whether you need more than one policy or whether you can get enough insurance through one super fund. To discuss your insurance through ANZ Smart Choice Super, please contact us by calling 13 12 87 or learn more about insurance cover in ANZ Smart Choice Super.

Correct contact details

It’s important to check that all your contact details are up to date and to let us know if anything has changed, for example – your occupation.

Seeking financial advice

If you have a financial adviser, we recommend that you speak with them about whether bringing together your super is the best option for your situation.
