How to pay your ANZ Secured Car Loan

What payment methods can I use for my ANZ Secured Car Loan?

You can make payments via direct debit, BPAY®, or at any ANZ branch.

Internet banking

You can use your bank's internet banking facility to make payments via BPAY®, or by using the "pay anyone" facility. Your account number consists of a BSB or branch number and account number. For example, BSB-013 009 and Account/Contract Number – 353123123.

BPAY®

BPAY® payments may be made to your loan using the Biller Code 3400. Your reference number is your complete contract number including the BSB and contract number. For example: 013009353123123.

Direct debit

You can establish a direct debit request by simply filling in a direct debit request form (PDF 428kB) and returning it to us along with documents as proof of your bank account details. We can mail or fax this form to you, if you call us on 13 23 73. We do, however, need the original of the form signed by the person who holds the account which you’re debiting from.

The direct debit can be taken from any Australian bank account. We won’t charge you anything if the direct debit is successfuldisclaimer, although your other bank may charge other fees so please check.

It's your responsibility to have funds available in your bank account to be drawn on the required payment dates. Dishonour fees may be charged if you do not have sufficient funds in your account to make the direct debit. Fees for late cancellation of a direct debit and Late Payment Fees may also apply.

We can usually set up the direct debit within 3 business days of receipt of your correct and complete direct debit request form, together with confirmation of your savings or cheque account details.

We recommend that you call to confirm we’ve received your direct debit request form, especially if payments are due around the same time as you submit the form.

Please note that we’ll need 3 business days’ notice to make any changes to an existing direct debit.

Can I use a credit card to make payments?

No, you can’t use another credit facility to make loan repayments. Exceptions may be made in circumstances of hardship, however.  If you are experiencing financial hardship, please contact us on 13 23 73.

Can I make repayments in advance?

Not without incurring early repayment charges. To avoid these please make payments in accordance with your repayment schedule. If you would like to get ahead or pay your contract off early, please call us first and we can discuss the costs involved.

Can I change my payments from monthly to fortnightly?

The payment terms are set at the acceptance of your contract, so you choose whether to make fortnightly or monthly payments before that time. Once we've accepted the contract, your payment due dates form part of the terms and conditions of your contract.

Can my repayments be changed to coincide with my pay dates?

Before you sign your contract, you can make arrangements so that payment due dates are set to coincide with pay dates (this may involve delaying settlement). It’s important to note that payment terms are set at the acceptance of your contract. Once the contract has been accepted, they form part of the terms and conditions of your contract.
