You can establish a direct debit request by simply filling in a direct debit request form (PDF 428kB) and returning it to us along with documents as proof of your bank account details. We can mail or fax this form to you, if you call us on 13 23 73. We do, however, need the original of the form signed by the person who holds the account which you’re debiting from.
The direct debit can be taken from any Australian bank account. We won’t charge you anything if the direct debit is successfuldisclaimer, although your other bank may charge other fees so please check.
It's your responsibility to have funds available in your bank account to be drawn on the required payment dates. Dishonour fees may be charged if you do not have sufficient funds in your account to make the direct debit. Fees for late cancellation of a direct debit and Late Payment Fees may also apply.
We can usually set up the direct debit within 3 business days of receipt of your correct and complete direct debit request form, together with confirmation of your savings or cheque account details.
We recommend that you call to confirm we’ve received your direct debit request form, especially if payments are due around the same time as you submit the form.
Please note that we’ll need 3 business days’ notice to make any changes to an existing direct debit.
