Your top ANZ Smart Choice Super questions answered.

1. What can I see and do online with my ANZ Smart Choice Super account?

With ANZ Internet Banking, you can SEE the following:

  • Account balance
  • Transaction history
  • Investment details including investment mix and performance
  • Insurance details
  • Details of any beneficiaries
  • Access to your annual statement (if applicable).

You can DO the following:

  • Update your personal details
  • Change your current investment mix and/or future contribution strategy
  • Add/change/remove insurance cover
  • Add/change/remove nominated beneficiaries
  • Make additional contributions to your account (via BPAY)
  • Download your 'Choice of Superannuation Fund' form to provide to your employer
  • See how you're tracking for retirement, with the Retirement Income Calculator
  • Round up your other super accounts into your ANZ Smart Choice account.

You can also see your super on the go with the ANZ App.

2. How do I register for ANZ Internet Banking?

Access ANZ Internet Banking by using your Customer Registration Number (CRN) and password.

To get a CRN, call customer service on 1800 146 129. We're available between 8:30am and 6:00pm (AEST). 

3. How do I log in to ANZ Internet Banking?

  1. Go to www.anz.com.
  2. Click on the 'log-in' button on the right-hand side (internet banking should be pre-selected from the drop-down list).
  3. A new page will open for you to enter your Customer Registration Number (CRN) and password.
    If you don't have a CRN, refer to question 2

4. How do I add my ANZ Smart Choice Super account to my existing ANZ Internet Banking?

If you log in to ANZ Internet Banking (or the ANZ app) and your ANZ Smart Choice Super account does not appear, it may just need to be linked to your profile. Call us on 13 12 87.

5. How do I consolidate all my other super funds into my ANZ Smart Choice Super account?

Log in to ANZ Internet Banking and click on your ANZ Smart Choice Super account. If ANZ has searched and found other super accounts under your name and Tax File Number, these will be listed. Select the accounts you want to consolidate, read the important information, read and accept the Terms and Conditions and click 'Transfer now'.

If you don't see your other super accounts, email anzsmartchoice@anz.com and request a Super Match.

6. How can I update my contact details and other particulars linked to my ANZ Smart Choice Super account online?

To update your details, log in to ANZ Internet Banking, and click on the 'Update details' tab.

7. How can I check the balance of my ANZ Smart Choice Super account?

Log in to ANZ Internet Banking. Your ANZ Smart Choice Super account balance will be listed together with your other ANZ accounts, if any.

Click on your super account to then access further functionality relating to your ANZ Smart Choice Super account, such as transaction history and investment performance.

8. How can I get a copy of the latest statement for my ANZ Smart Choice Super account?

  1. Log in to ANZ Internet Banking and click on your ANZ Smart Choice Super account.
  2. Navigate to the 'Snapshot' home screen (if the screen you are served is a list of your other super accounts, select 'Remind me later').
  3. Click on the 'Transactions' tab. From here, select the 'View transactions' link to bring up a list of your statements and choose the one you want.

9. How do I check how my contributions are invested, and change them?

Log in to ANZ Internet Banking and click on your ANZ Smart Choice Super account. Navigate to the 'Snapshot' home screen (if the screen you are served is a list of your other super accounts, select 'Remind me later').

Click on the 'Investment portfolio' tab. This page displays how your super balance is invested and how future contributions will be invested.

To change your investments, scroll down and click on the blue 'Change my Investment Portfolio' button. Here you can change your investment category (i.e. from 'Lifestage' to 'Choose your own' and vice versa) for your balance and/or future contributions.
 

10. How do I make extra contributions to my super?

  1. Log in to ANZ Internet Banking and click on your ANZ Smart Choice Super account.
  2. Navigate to the 'Snapshot' home screen (if the screen you are served is a list of your other super accounts, select 'Remind me later').
  3. Click on the 'Manage my account' tab. Then, click on the 'Make extra contributions' link from the left-hand side of the screen.

11. Why do I have two super accounts?

In response to the Federal Government’s Stronger Super reforms, a MySuper compliant account, ANZ Smart Choice Super was set up for you. More details can be found at anz.com/mysuper.

12. How do I nominate a beneficiary for my ANZ Smart Choice Super account?

Log in to ANZ Internet Banking and click on your ANZ Smart Choice Super account. Navigate to the 'Snapshot' home screen (if the screen you are served is a list of your other super accounts, select 'Remind me later').

To nominate a beneficiary, click on 'Manage my account' tab and then click on 'Beneficiaries' on the left-hand side. Click on the blue 'Change' button at the end of the page and enter your beneficiary details.

Or call us on 13 12 87 and select Option 1, then Option 5.

13. How do I get my employer super contributions paid into my ANZ Smart Choice Super account?

You can do this yourself by completing and signing a Super Choice form, before handing it over to your employer.

To get the form pre-populated with your details:

  1. Log in to ANZ Internet Banking and click on your ANZ Smart Choice Super account.
  2. Navigate to the 'Snapshot' home screen (if the screen you are served is a list of your other super accounts, select 'Remind me later').
  3. Click on the 'Tools & resources' tab. From there, click on 'Forms' on the left-hand side, and then select the 'Notify my employer' option. 
  4. Click on the 'Super Choice Form' to download your pre-populated form.
  5. Add your payroll number, sign it and hand it to your employer.
