Investment management
made easy
Managed funds
mFunds are unlisted managed funds that have been admitted for settlement by the ASX. They are designed to reduce paperwork and make the process of buying into managed funds more accessible to investors.
Professional management
mFunds are professionally managed, which means that it's someone's job to make decisions about buying and selling individual shares within the fund. They complete research and analysis so that they can make informed decisions on behalf of their investors.
Diversification
When you buy into an mFund you're buying instant diversification. With one transaction you are buying a spread of securities, often across multiple assets classes, so you can enjoy the benefits of diversification without the pressure of selecting individual investments.

mFunds and ETFs
ETFs are in some ways quite similar to mFunds. mFunds are investment funds that may hold multiple assets such as shares and commodities. Like ETFs they don't need your active trading input.
The key difference is that mFunds are tyically actively managed by a fund manager. In contrast, ETFs are usually passively managed and tend to follow an index or the value of a commodity. mFunds are also not listed or tradeable via the stock exchange, the role of the ASX is only to provide a settlement service.
