Funeral insurance with premiums that never go up

With ANZ 50+ Life Cover, if you pass away your loved ones could receive your chosen Life Benefit amount, up to $15,000. Offered as a lump sum, it can help pay for any expenses you leave behind. 

This means that you can help take care of funeral costs, debts and unpaid bills. And with premiums that never rise, your cover is easy to budget for.


What's covered?

  • A lump sum payment of your chosen Life Benefit up to $15,000, generally paid within two business days of us receiving all completed claim requirementsdisclaimer
  • If you pass away from an accident after the first 12 months, we'll double your chosen amount by also paying you an Accidental Death Benefit equal to your Life Benefitdisclaimer

  • Death within the first 12 months, where it was not the result of an accident. If you pass away during this period, we’ll refund 100% of any premiums you’ve paid.disclaimer
  • Suicide within the first 12 months of starting or reinstating your policy.

Your beneficiary will receive all benefits payable on the event of your death. You also have the freedom to change your beneficiary at any time, so you can be confident about where your money goes.

You can apply for ANZ 50+ Life Cover if you are:

  • an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident, living in Australia
  • aged between 50 and 70.

Once it’s established, your cover can continue for life.

Not eligible or want more cover? ANZ Accident Cover Plus is another way to protect your family, with a lump sum benefit up to $1 million if you pass away as a result of an accident.

Escalating your complaint

If you're not satisfied with the resolution offered by our customer care unit, you can have your complaint reviewed by a Dispute Resolution Specialist.

A final decision will be provided within 15 business days of your complaint being escalated, unless they have requested and you have agreed to give them more time.

Life benefit not paid within first 12 months, except for accidental death.

Accidental death is defined in the 'What are the benefits and when are they paid' section of the PDS (suicide is excluded in the first 12 months). Accidental Death Benefit is an extra payout to the same value as your chosen life benefit amount, up to $15,000.

However, if you die from an accident in the first 12 months, you’ll receive the Accidental Death Benefit.

Your Life Benefit amount is fixed. You cannot increase or decrease your Life Benefit amount after your policy commences.
