Need a new PIN?

Here's what you need to do:

It's important to keep your PIN secure. If you feel that you need a new one, you can use the ANZ App to change it quickly and easily.

You can also visit your local ANZ branch with identification to reset your PIN, or call 13 13 14 and we'll send you a new PIN within five working days.

How to change a PIN

Forgotten your card PIN or you simply want to change it? If you’ve got an eligible card you can now update your card PIN in the ANZ App whenever it suits you. No need to visit a branch!

You can also change your card PIN at any ANZ ATM.

Choose a PIN that's easy for you to remember, but hard for someone else to guess.


What happens when I travel overseas?

Some countries still accept a signature to verify transactions at checkout, but in others they only accept a PIN. Before you travel overseas, be sure to know your PIN. Please contact ANZ to advise of your travel plans to ensure we know to expect transactions processed from the countries you plan to travel to.


What if I can’t use a PIN?

Sign-only cards are available to customers with special needs. These cards can be used in person, online or contactless (for purchases under $100). If you’d like a sign-only card, please call us on 13 13 14.


Choosing a PIN

Set a four digit combination that’s easy for you to remember but hard for someone else to guess. Steer clear of your date of birth, sequential numbers (like 1234) or using the same number (like 1111). And once you’ve chosen a PIN, don’t write it down or share it with anyone. If you feel your PIN has been compromised, please let us know immediately by calling 13 13 14
