What's on this page

How to change a PIN

Log in to the ANZ App, then tap on your account. Tap Manage, then Manage Card. From there, you’ll be able to follow the prompts to change your PIN.

You can also visit any ANZ ATM in Australia, and go to the PIN change screen to get started.

Alternatively you can call us on 13 13 14 and we’ll send you a new PIN within five working days. Plus, if you call us from Support in the ANZ App, your call will go through to the right team with your identity already confirmed.

What happens when I travel overseas?

Some countries still accept a signature to verify transactions at checkout, but in others they only accept a PIN. Before you travel overseas, be sure to know your PIN. Please contact ANZ to advise of your travel plans to ensure we know to expect transactions processed from the countries you plan to travel to.

What if I can’t use a PIN?

Sign-only cards are available to customers with special needs. These cards can be used in person, online or contactless (for purchases under $100). If you’d like a sign-only card, please call us on 13 13 14.

Choosing a PIN

Set a four digit combination that’s easy for you to remember but hard for someone else to guess. Steer clear of your date of birth, sequential numbers (like 1234) or using the same number (like 1111). And once you’ve chosen a PIN, don’t write it down or share it with anyone. If you feel your PIN has been compromised, please let us know immediately by calling 13 13 14
