ANZ today reinforced its commitment to support small and medium sized businesses through the COVID-19 pandemic as it welcomed the Federal Government’s expanded recovery loan scheme.
Under the expanded scheme, eligible businesses no longer need to have received JobKeeper assistance during the March quarter, or to have been flood-affected.
The scheme continues to support eligible business that have been affected by the pandemic with a turnover of less than $250 million by providing access to loans of up to $5 million at historically low rates.
ANZ Managing Director Commercial and Private Banking, Isaac Rankin said: “We are seeing the ongoing impacts of the pandemic continue to hit small and medium business in particular, so we fully support the Federal Government’s expansion of this important scheme.
“This will mean a greater number of affected businesses that are doing it tough can access this support and ANZ stands ready to help our customers as soon as we have clarity on the expanded scheme’s rules,” Mr Rankin said.
ANZ continues to support our customers impacted by COVID-19 through a range of support and relief measures.
All customers who need assistance should contact ANZ to discuss their specific needs. More information, including contact details can be found at anz.com/covid-19
