My name is Porsha O’Brien and I am a Wuthathi woman, my people come from Shelburne Bay, Cape York. I live and work in Cairns on Gimuy Walubara Yidinji and Yirrganydji country.
I have worked at ANZ for 7 years, originally starting out as an Indigenous School based trainee in Port Lincoln, South Australia. Then I had the opportunity to move to Cairns to pursue cultural connections and secure a role in the Far North Queensland District.
I am passionate about helping people and businesses with their banking needs, I strive to be approachable and patient in all my interactions.
I was born on Kaurna country and raised on Saibai Island in the Torres Strait.
My people are from the Dhoeybau clan of Saibai Island and the Komet tribe of Mer Island.
