Complimentary insurance provider changed from QBE to Allianz

Effective 11 April 2018, the insurer of your ANZ Commercial Card Complimentary Insurance changed from QBEdisclaimer Insurance to Allianz.disclaimer

Although we are switching provider, please be assured that your cover will remain the same so that you can continue to enjoy the benefits of your complimentary insurance.

Frequently asked questions

The terms of your insurance with Allianz remain substantially the same as QBE.

Please refer to the ANZ Commercial Card Facility Terms and Conditions and the ANZ Business Black Travel Insurance Terms and Conditions schedule of changes for a summary of the changes.

Any insurable event occurring on or after 11 April 2018 will be handled by Allianz while any insurable event prior to this date will be handled by QBE. This is subject to you satisfying the eligibility criteria for cover under the relevant insurance policy.

If you satisfy eligibility criteria for cover under the relevant insurance policy, your claim will be addressed by Allianz.

If you satisfy eligibility criteria for cover under the relevant insurance policy, your claim will be addressed by QBE.

If you have made a claim with QBE prior to 11 April 2018, QBE will continue to address your existing claim. Please refer to correspondence received from QBE, which will contain the contact details of your QBE case manager.

No, if you have paid the administration fee for confirmation from QBE that your pre-existing medical condition is covered for the duration of your trip, Allianz will also cover your pre-existing medical condition subject to the terms and conditions of the Master Policies.

As was previously the case, you will need to let the insurer (Allianz) know if any changes to the following as these may affect your cover or require you to undergo an assessment:

  • trip dates
  • destination(s)
  • new condition(s) or changes in the circumstances of your existing condition(s).

Complimentary credit card insurance covers provided are part of a group policy issued by AWP Australia Pty Ltd ABN 52 097 227 177 AFSL 245631 (trading as Allianz Global Assistance) under a binder from the underwriter, Allianz Australia Insurance Limited ABN 15 000 122 850 AFSL 234708 to Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ) ABN 11 005 357 522 AFSL and Australian credit licence 234527 which allows eligible ANZ account holders and cardholders to claim under the group policy as third party beneficiaries.
