ANZ Credit Card Insurance
ANZ Credit Card Insurance gives you the peace of mind that you could still meet your monthly credit card repayments if your income stopped and you are unable to work due to illness or injury, or if you become involuntary unemployed.

In the event that you suffer a critical illness, or total and permanent disability or death, your outstanding credit card balance will be paid in full, up to $50,000.

Fortunately, it’s never been easier or more affordable to insure your credit card repayments, and only takes a few minutes to protect yourself.

What am I covered for?

Involuntary unemployment

  • 15% of the outstanding balance of your credit card is paid per month, up to $50,000, if you are involuntarily unemployed.
  • After receiving benefits for 180 days, the difference between the total benefit payments received by you and your total outstanding balance will be paid if you are still unemployed.
  • This means that your total outstanding balance can be paid in full after 6 months.

Disability (through injury or illness)

  • 15% of the outstanding balance of your credit card is paid per month, up to $50,000, if you suffer a disability through illness or injury.
  • After receiving benefits for 180 days, the difference between the total benefit payments received by you and your total outstanding balance will be paid if you are still disabled.
  • This means that your total outstanding balance can be paid in full after 6 months.

Total and permanent disability

The total outstanding balance of your credit card, up to $50,000 is paid, in the event of your total and permanent disability.

Critical illness

The total outstanding balance of your credit card, up to $50,000 is paid, in the event of a covered critical illness.

Life

The total outstanding balance of your credit card, up to $50,000 is paid, in the event of your death.

Accidental death

If your death is accidental, an equal and additional sum to the Life Benefit will be payable to your estate, up to a further $50,000.

Stolen card

A lump sum benefit of $200 is paid if your credit card is reported as stolen to the police.

How much does it cost?
  • The monthly premium is just 85c per $100 of the closing balance on your credit card statement each month (up to a maximum of $50,000).
  • Your premium will be automatically charged to your nominated ANZ credit card account and will appear on your monthly statement.
  • The premium will still be payable if you pay your credit card account in full at each statement due date, unless the closing balance on your credit card statement is less than $10 or in credit. The closing balance is the outstanding balance on the date the credit card statement is produced and sent to you, not the outstanding balance on the date your payment is due.
