Community Development Finance

In response to the financial exclusion research findings and ANZ's stakeholder consultation program,we have committed to:

  • Fund additional resources to assist the delivery of MoneyMinded financial education to 30,000 potentially 'at risk' Australians in 2008, including Indigenous communities.
  • Expand ANZ’s Saver Plus matched savings and financial literacy program into Indigenous communities with the introduction of MoneyBusiness.
  • Deliver on our commitments in ANZ’s Reconciliation Action Plan to help Indigenous Australians improve their financial literacy and inclusion as well as increase employment opportunities.
  • Continue the development of a new loans program, Progress Loans which is tailored to the needs of people on low incomes who are currently using 'payday' lenders and other fringe credit providers. We aim to write 300 new loans in 2008
