Switching made easy

We've made it simple and convenient for you to switch your accounts to ANZ and transfer your regular payments to your new ANZ accounts. You have two options:

Self-Service or Branch assisted

Self-service - Simply open an ANZ account and use our online switching service to generate letters to companies you have your regular payments with, advising them of your new ANZ account details. All you need to do is print the letters, sign and send!

Branch assisted - Ask your current bank for a 13 month list of payments to and from your account (ie. all direct debits and credits). Then take this list to any ANZ branch where our friendly staff will open a new ANZ account for you and then assist you to re-establish your regular payments. Note: Business accounts are not eligible for branch service.

Self-Service

What you will need to get started.

  1. New ANZ account details and your old account details
Bank, BSB, Account number, Account name

  2. Details of your regular payments
Payments to and from your old account can be identified by reviewing old bills and account statements. Additionally, your current bank will be able to provide you with a 13 month list of regular payments (debits and credits) eg. your salary, bills, etc.
