How do customers with an iPhone view the tailored ANZ web pages?
When a customer connects to www.anz.com on their iPhone or iPod Touch, the site will recognise they are using one of these devices and automatically redirect the user to the ANZ Mobile Banking webpage. Alternatively, you can type www.anz.com/mobilelanding into your browser to directly access the customised homepage.
Do customers need to register to access the new pages on their iPhone?
No, customers with an iPhone or iPod touch can access the new pages simply by connecting to www.anz.com; they just need to be an existing retail Internet Banking customer.
Is this the same as the banking service we offer on regular mobile phones?
No, ANZ Mobile Phone Banking (M-Banking) is a different service available for customers with regular mobile phones. Find out more information about ANZ Mobile Phone Banking.
Why is the anz.com homepage different for iPhone users?
To make life simple for our customers who own an iPhone or iPod Touch, we have modified the www.anz.com homepage so that customers can easily access the most popular functions. We have also introduced a user friendly Internet Banking service that they can now access.
Whilst the www.anz.com homepage and Internet Banking screens do look different, they have the same security and authentication procedures as regular Internet Banking. Customers can feel confident when using the website that their personal information is being protected.
Can iPhone customers still use regular Internet Banking?
Customers can still continue to use the regular Internet Banking service on their iPhone by clicking on the 'view regular anz.com' button and logging is as normal.
Can iPhone customers still use the regular normal anz.com homepage?
Definitely, customers can still access this site by clicking on the view regular anz.com button. Once a customer clicks on this button, they will be able to use the regular site for the rest of their session.
Why don't these customised pages appear on a desktop?
The customised screens have been developed to make it easier for customers to bank with their iPhone or iPod Touch. On mobile devices, the regular anz.com and Internet Banking webpage's are difficult to navigate as the screen is much smaller. Customers don't need these screens on their desktop as the can use the full-size screens easily.
Can all customers in Australia access ANZ Mobile Banking?
ANZ Mobile Banking was developed for our retail customers only. Unfortunately, if you have a business account you will not be able to access these services for the time being.
What services are available to customers on their iPhone?
Customers can view their account balances, transaction history and also make payments using Transfer Funds and Pay Anyone (if you have registered for this service). We have also created some handy short cuts to Contact Us, Locate Us and View regular anz.com.
Will customers be able to make BPAY payments?
Before ANZ purchases units in the investment fund on your behalf, it applies a margin of 25 basis points (ie 0.25%) to cover ANZ's costs in processing deposits in the investment fund.
Are you delivering this service for other mobile devices?
At the moment we are only focusing on the iPhone and iPod Touch, but we will be looking to expand to other mobile devices during 2009.
Will these screens be available to iPhone customer in NZ and Asia?
Not yet. We are planning to roll out these customised banking services over the course of the next year, with other countries to follow.

Can I make future dated payments?
To make any future dated payments, please use regular Internet Banking. This also includes making modifications to future dated payments and cancelling them.
As the iPhone does not allow for printing, you can view your receipt number on regular Internet Banking by selecting Past Payments/Transfer and viewing the number listed in the status column.
How do I add or modify an existing payee's details?
To make any changes to an existing payee's details, please use regular Internet Banking. This also includes deleting any payee records. To permanently add a payee record, you will also need to use regular Internet Banking.
